A little update~

Arrived Sydney for few weeks already, honestly I had do nothing, yes, nothing at all. Staying in Brian's house, playing computer games everyday, even too lazy to walk around. Of coz, bad weather was an excuse but it's not good enough. It's time to finish this decadent life. I need to move on my trip. I need to start earning money. I need to go to Whitsundays! Fraser Island! Safari! Surfing!! New Zealand!!! Uh-Hooo!!!

So am I leaving now? No, not yet. I have dated my uncle, Uncle Stephen, to have dinner on the coming Friday. He works here and will ask him if he need any temporary staff. If yes, I'm gonna stay in Sydney for a while. If No, I'm going up to Brisbane. I hope I could find a well paid job over there. One of my friend Iris, she is now working in a farm, 10 hours a day, 7 days a week. Pretty tough but earning $800 a week at least, wow~ Hope there is vacancy if I go there~ :p

Another trip will be going to Alice Spring in the coming June. 5 days trip with Maick and his friend. They have booked the trip already, I'm going to do it this week. The outback is going to be cold at night~ I hope I can survive~ hoho~

Well, I'm not really staying at home everyday.

On 5 Apr I've visited the Taronga Zoo with Uncle Thomas, Mathew and his classmate Kenneth. It simply a Zoo, with many different kinds of animal. From the size as small as rabbit to as tall as giraffe, from the most ferocious tiger to the most laziest koala, you can find them all in the Zoo. A one day trip is enough for the Zoo, but it close at 5 pm so you need to start early.

6 Apr, football with Matthew and Kenneth. Hurt the damn left knee again. Go home with pain and disappointed. Don't know when will my knee totally recover, probably never. Don't know if I can play football and badminton again without any concern... sigh.....~~

7 Apr, went to Hunter Valley with Linda, another WHV friend. Tasted some wine. It's my first time I tried such a GOOD red wine. It's taste really good, I don't really know how to describe, but when you drink, 唔"澀", that's it. haha. Didn't buy any coz I won't drink at home and it's probably a burden in my trip. After lunch we went to see the dolphin, it's first time I saw wild dolphin! We can only see them when they come up and breath, it take just around 2 seconds and after that they will dive into the water. This make taking a photo extremely difficult. Almost half of my picture have been deleted because there were nothing inside except water. What you see in the album are the one filtered and taken with some luck. Enjoy.

13 Apr, went to war game with Edward, my primary classmate. We've lost contact for almost 10 years but thanks to facebook, we reunion. The war game here use paint ball, a plastic ball with ink inside, the plastic ball will burst when it hit something and the ink will splash around your clothes and mask. In the almost end of the game, you'll see the "blood" splash over everyone mask and clothes, haha. My damn leg was hurt before so I can't enjoy it. But the game was still great! and expensive, duh!

Bought a haircut kit with $15, and cut my hair myself. Well...I think I will find someone to cut it for me next time. Coz it doesn't look good. XD

That's all, yes for 2 weeks. Will let you guys know when my plan confirmed. Take care everyone. I miss you all.

Grampians, Philip Island, Skydeck & Sydney

Wow~ Laziness has overcome me again~ Sorry guys~ :p

2 days after GrandPrix, I have joined a tour to the Grampians, a place which is inside the champaign. The tour was a small one, which like 20 people only. The weather was great, cool and dry, and no rain! We departs on 8:15am and took about 1 half hour to Beaufort. We have our morning tea over there. It's just some tea/coffee and biscuit but it really wake me up~
Another 45 min. drive brought us to Brambuk Living Cultural Center. It's the first time I saw a wild kangaroo! We walked around and we found few groups of them. They don't really afraid of human and we could get pretty close. We spent one hour there and we move inside the Cultural Center. Inside there was history about this place, like something about aborigines use (man-made) fire to control (natural) fire. After that, we went to Halls Gap and have our lunch break there. I've bought a Sushi lunch box from city and brought there for lunch. But it's not really enough so I bought some Ice Cream too. hoho~
After lunch, we went to the MacKenzie Falls. It's actually a waterfall which deep under the valley. It's took us around half hour to walk to the bottom part. It's pretty big but there was not much rain recently so the water wasn't that much.
Our next stop was the high light of this tour, The Jaws of Death. It's named like this because it looks like animals jaws. The place is very nice, a piece of land which you can't see the end~ The Jaws is a rock extended from the mountain which is hard enough to prevent corrode. I walked above the jaw, which was actually quite scary, and took a photo on it. When I looked down it's so deeeeeep from the place I stand, so I went back to the stand after the photo. After that we returned to bus and started our 3 hours journey back to the city.
What a great experience!

The next day I visited Melbourne Aquarium. It's not really big actually but the BIG bowl underneath has surprised me. When you enter the lowest level of the aquarium, you're actually at the middle of the circle. Outside the circle filled with water and many many kind of fish. The level is about 3m high, and you're just surrounded by fishes~ Cool!

On Friday, I was in a tour to Philip Island, yes, to see the penguin finslly. The tour departed at 1:30pm. The first stop was Warrook Farm. The farm divided a small part of space, put some ducks, gooses and kangaroos inside, and let us go in to feed them. The place where wombats should stay in was filled by chickens. Feel like a place which cheat tourist money. Anyway, it's still a good place because I could get close to a kangaroo and feed it.
The next stop is Koala Conservation Center. We pass through the entrance, and arrived a place where bridges have been built across the road. That's for us to get closer to the upper part of the tree and have a more closer view to the Koala. And it's really really close because the koala sometime walked on the handrail, haha. It's so close that you can touch it. But everyone there were so self-disciplined, they just walked with the koala without disturbing it.
After that we stopped at a town for dinner, and continue our trip to Philip Island. As the Little Penguin usually return after sunset, it's too early to go to the Penguin Parade. So the tour guide drove us around the island and take a look on the penguin nest burrow. Sometime you could see the baby Little Penguin attracted by the noise and look outside. They were really cute! >o<"
At last, we arrived the Penguin Parade. Photo was not allowed because flash may hurt the penguin's eyes. At first, we wait at the beach for the penguin's return. They will wait until they think they're safe before they come up. Once it's dark enough, they'll start coming out from the water, wait for other penguins and come up as group. When they few unsafe, they'll rush back into water and wait again, and it's really funny when they run, because they were so small and their leg are so so so short, haha~ Once they think they were safe again, they will walk back to their nest in group. Their are path built for us to see them returning their base, and it's built along the the penguin's path, so there were a lot of chances to see them.
It was cold, but it's worth to stay because the penguin are really so cute. hoho~

Saturday night, we went to Eureka Skydeck. It's the world's tallest residential building, with 300m high 92 levels. The skydeck located at level 88, the elevator took 40 seconds to reach the level, more than 2 floors per second! It's very fast!! The view, of cause, was unbeatable. Because there were not much building in Melbourne able to give you this view. We started to go around the floor and keep taking photos. But the windows were quite dirty so the picture were always not clear -.-" And inside the floor there were a lot of spot light which always reflected by the windows, it makes taking photo a hard job. But luckily we could still get a few good shots.
There were 2 highlights in the Skydeck, the first one was an open area on level 88, it's very cold and windy but it's a good place to get rid of the dirty window, haha. The second one was called the edge, "'The Edge' - a glass cube which projects 3 meters out from the building - with you in it - suspended almost 300 meters above the ground!". I've got a free coupon for going into The Edge, but I'm fear of height so I gave it to my friend~ I don't want to get crazy inside the cube and being driving out of the building. XD Well...I'll get better after the sky dive! :p

Not much to do on Sunday, got up early because need to check out at 10am. Hanging around in the library, say good bye and gave a great hug to my friends, get back to hostel, and started my journey to Sydney.
I went there by Firefly, an intercity coach service provider. The coach depart at 7pm. The driver was pretty funny because when he introduce himself, he said, "My name is.....Andrew..... You can call me.......Andrew....well or the driver.... " ha.... A short meal break on 11pm at Albury, and I fell asleep after it. Can't expect too much on a bus, but I still sleep pretty well. Arrived Sydney Central Station at 7am, it's a bit worn than Melbourne Southern Cross station, but it's another style~ Have a little breakfast in Hungry Jack and move on to Brain's house.

Last Thursday, Uncle Thomas and Matthew arrived Sydney. It's so good to see them. We went to the Harbor Bridge and Darling Harbor this Tuesday. Matthew has started his uni orientation on Wednesday. And we are going to the Taronga Zoo tomorrow~!

I've also met another 2 HK friends here in Sydney~ They are Iris and Iris....oops... Iris Ng and Iris Wong. They have been working in the Easter Show for 2 weeks and special thanks to Iris Wong because she brought me a free ticket for the Easter Show (Originally cost $30..@@).
The show was actually a farming exhibition but there were many games around so there were also many young people. We spent a day there, watching shows, cars, bulls & pigs. ha.. Iris brought me a lot of food and drink from the place she worked so I didn't spent much money in there. XD
The last firework show was the best firework show I've ever seen. It's not as money-burning as the one in HK, it's not as large as the one in Melbourne, but the music plus the laser and the firework really makes me feel EXCITING! To reciprocate Iris's best arrangement, I feast her onto the Ferris Wheel~
wow~ What a great day!

Being lazy for too long, got to start looking for a job. But there are a few place that I've planned to visit...so..... find a job on another day! Yu-Hooo!!!

Special thanks Brain to allow me to stay in his home :D
Also need to thanks dad and mom and sis to help me bought so many stuff.
And thanks Uncle Thomas to bringing them here.

Take care everyone! I miss you all!!!
