Sorry all~! Didn't update for such a long time because I'm so busy and lazy~ hoho~~ ok. Stop bull-shitting, let's GO!
When I was on the way to Melbourne City during Chinese New Year, I found that my bike which locked at Belgrave has gone. The week before that I locked it at the car park which was closer to the bus station. I think it's because the place is the train station area so they removed it. err... a little bit inconvenience when I travel inside city but I don't need to worry about how to bring it to Sydney, not really bad news.
The atmosphere during Chinese New Year was quite good, may be because of the fire "criket?" (炮仗). A street next to China Town has been closed and many counters were setup over there. There were many people in China Town, too many, and also many performances. I didn't stay there for long because it's too crowd.
I finally had my first party in Australia. With the arrival of another 3 HK ppl, 6 of us bought some beer that day and played for hours during that night. Some of my colleagues has come over and have a few drinks with us. We played some games that night. With a bit luck, I didn't lose any game. The penalties included dancing on the table, kiss a Germany male, finish the whole bottle of beer, finish 1L of water and drawing on the face..els. I haven't played that open and happy~ I enjoyed the night and I think I'll join more party...hoho
The ticket for Grand Prix has finally confirmed.

Some people may think that it's not worth, but what I think is, I am going to watch Grand Prix at least once during my life, why don't I made myself enjoy it when I watch it? As soon as I can afford it, why not?
Maick is the first Germany friend I meet in Emerald, we both arrived on 6 Jan 2008, he was sleeping on the upper deck of the bed, and I was sleeping beneath him. We talked a lot when we life together because he's also a IT guy. He left on 18 Jan 2008 to met his friend in Sydney, we exchanged our email and phone number before he left. And I thought that I'm not going to see him again.
Few weeks ago, while I was cooking in the hostel, I look through the window and I saw a guy who looks very similar to him. When the guy came in, no doubt it's him! I couldn't believe my eyes during that moment. He's back, with a van. He was assigned to work with me in the same farm, and I had a very happy time with him. Last week, we went to super market together, and he asked me about my birthday, and I said "18 Jun". He shake up, and asked me again, "Is it O Six, June? One eight, eighteen?", I said yes. And, yeah, thats true, we have the same birthday, but he's 1981, and I'm 1984. Sounds funny and miraculous, isn't it? He's leaving this weekend, and he told me that he will be in Sydney during his birthday, and I said,"We will be in Sydney during our birthday." Happy :)
Last weekend, we've rent a car from Avis and travel to The Great Ocean Road. The car is a Holden Commodore 5 Door Station Wagon with 5 seats and a large space at the back to put our stuff. We toke the car on Saturday morning, buy some stuff from the super market and started our trip to The Great Ocean Road. Wilco was the driver, I'm the navigator, Lu and Emi were the cook, and Man was the one who share our cost. We drove through Geelong and make a stop at Torquay. Torquay is known as the Surf City, and for sure there are a lot of shop which sold surfing stuff. I bought a Quiksilver cap there with $20 only! Other than the cap, everything is expensive.
After that we drove through Anglesea and stop at a small beach, Point Roadknight. It's too cold to swim so we just walk around and with our leg in the water. Then we move on to Lorne, other large town on The Great Ocean Road. We stopped there, have a break, (ladies) shopping around and play with the swing. It was so relaxing~ Next, we drove to Apollo Bay, we tried to find a hostel over there but it's full, so we moved on to The Twelve Apostles. It's a long way to there, and we made a few stop. One of the stop was beside a sheep farm, the grass were all dead inside the fence, but it's green outside. So we pull out the green grass outside the fence and feed them, it's so funny, hoho~ Finally we arrived The Twelve Apostles at around 7pm. We planned to see the sunset and it's too early for that, so we move on the Port Campbell, a town which is 10 min away from The Twelve Apostles. We found a hostel there, settle down all our stuff, and then we drove back to The Twelve Apostles. We arrived at 8pm, there was too much cloud so we couldn't see the best picture. But the place is still amazing. Stones standing in the middle of the sea, with wave that never stop, the sound, the wind, you just can't imagine by reading my text and watching the photos, you need to be there. It's a grand view. We stay there till the sky went dark, and we return to the hostel. Emi and Lu prepared the dinner for everyone, we had a few drinks then we went to bed.
On Sunday, we wake up at around 9 and start our journey to The London Bridge and the Arch. It's so windy there that we could just hardly stand. Wilco drove most of the way during the trip, but Emi drove us from The London Bridge to the Arch, what I need to say is, my hand didn't left the hand break for a second. And while we arrived the Arch, I toke the wheel and park the car. Yes, my first time driving a car. Driving a car isn't hard, it's just hard to see everything by mirror. Luckily, I've parked the car without hitting anything, I'll show you guys the video when I return to Hong Kong. hoho. And now I feel regret that I didn't bring a driving license with me.
Anyway, we start to return to Melbourne as we need to return the car before 5pm. But we failed to make it because we are still in Geelong on 5pm, we called the Customer Service Hot line and they said if we could return the car before Monday 10am, there will be no sub-charge. We then make use our time and the car, we drove to the Brighton beach, then BoxHill to have our dinner, and then back to Emerald. Need to thanks Wilco because he drove the car back on Monday and he can't work that day. Roughly guess we've driven over 1100km in 2 days, and the petrol cost only AUD120, and everyone of us pay less than AUD100 for the whole trip, I think it's pretty cheap!
We returned to Emerald at 10pm and sleep at 12am. It's pretty tired but I did enjoy the trip!
That's what happened this two weeks and I hope you enjoyed it.
Wilco left today, Maick is leaving on Sunday, and I will leave on next Sunday.
Will try to update more frequently because I know you're waiting for it :)
Quite a lot of photo here~ Some haven't upload yet, will post the link on next post. Please enjoy~!

Substantial Life
Time is going so fast. Here's another 2 week.
As I said before, life doesn't change much. Work on Monday to Friday, Kellogg's Nutri-Grain for breakfast, bread and jam for tea break, sandwich or rice for lunch, rice or noodle for dinner. Watch CSI and play games on Sat, go to Melbourne City, Boxhill on Sunday.
I've start get used to my work. While I started my work 2 weeks ago, my back was pain everyday after work. But now, it turned to tired. The fat in my abdomen is turning to muscle and breaking up into 6 parts.
The job we doing now is budding (接枝). 2 people as a group, 1 "buder" and 1 "tier". The buder remove the around 3 cm of the bark from the tree, cut out a bud from the branch on their hand and put it in to the tree. The tier, that's me, use a plastic tap to cover the bud so that no water will go in and damage the bud. A buder takes around 20 second to bud 3 trees, and a tier talk around 5 - 10 seconds to tie a tree. For me, 6 seconds on the morning and 10 seconds after 3 hours work, haha. As the cut on the tree is around 5 cm above the ground, so all of us bend down or squat and work for the whole process. Trees were planted as row, approx. 100 trees per row, and around 10-14 of us work 2-3 rows each time. You could imagine as tie the shoelace, but tie for 8 hours a day. The Farmer said that we are going to do this for the coming month. No good doh....
Luckily the break is quite enough. We start working on 7:30am, a 15 min. tea break on 10am, a 1 hour lunch break on 12nn, another 15 min. tea break on 3pm, and finish on 4:30pm. Sometimes may need to OT till 5pm, and for Friday we finish at 3pm.
Something did made me out of expected. First of it is the public holiday, the Australian Day should be happy for everyone but not for me, because we don't work on public holiday and there is NO INCOME! Second of it is the weather, last Thu it was a rainy day, it start raining since the morning, and it turned to heavy rain after 2 hours of work, and we were asked to stop working and was sent back to hostel. The rain made us lost another day of income.
5 days of work, 2 days cover the cost and 3 days are what I really earn. If I don't have work for 1 day, I earn 1 day less. +_+" That's bad, really bad.
But so far it's ok for me, I've saved around 900AUD, and for the other 5 weeks I hope I could save enough money for my upcoming travel.
Last Sunday I've visited quite a lot of place with my bike. first of all, I went to Melbourne City by train and went to the information center @ Flinders Street Station. I tried to ask for some more information about the Grand-Prix ticket, but they didn't have much info about that. The officer asked me to go to the TicketMaster counter but unfortunately it was closed. I then went to the Shrine of Remembrance, Melbourne. It was a really great building, make me feel admire. Inside there were books with solders' name, flags during the war, description of different division during the war, metals, service dress and many many other stuff. For more detail you need to ask Uncle Thomas... hoho~~
After that, I went to the University of Melbourne. To be honest, it's not as good as I imagine. There were to many building and place were not really large enough. Feel very crowd. Even the CUHK is even better. But anyway it's always not that perfect. It may be still a good place for study.
Then I went to GlenFerrie and BoxHill to buy some more Chinese food. You can take a look on the picture of my locker. It's a mess. haha.
Yesterday, Friday night, 11 of us went to play football. Usually we got bus to bring us to the court but not for yesterday, because Justin, the hostel manager, didn't allow us to use his van. James, the organizer, suggested go by foot. By normal route it should take less then 30 min, James said we would go by a "shortcut" which takes only 10 min. The "shortcut" he said is actually going through the forest. It's quite danger because it's actually a route without road. We only have water, not even a torch and mobile phone. We just follow the direction we think it is. Trees are high, rotten wood everywhere. I was watching CSI these two weeks and it makes me feel that a corpse will suddenly being discovered. Well....I was thinking too much... after 30 min walk, we went out the forest, safely, but there were no football court. It toke another 20 min to there, what a "Shortcut"!
There are only 11 of us so we were really tired after the game, because usually we have at least 18 players. James said that he would jog back to the hostel, by the normal route of course. 3 of them started frist, I start a min later. The road was quite dark because there were not much light, I was running alone, the one behind can't catch me up and I can't catch those in front of me too. It was not really fun but I enjoyed it! It toke us around 20 min to jog back. and I'm very tired. After a bath, I made myself a fried Satay ham noodle, watched a while CSI and then had a GOOD sleep.
The Grand-Prix ticket is a bit out of budget, ~$400 exclude the hostel price which has increased during the racing period. I'm thinking to watch for only 2 days with General admission ticket which cost $175 for 4 days pass. But still, to be confirm.
Same as normal Saturday, "hea" or say "retired" life. Nothing to do. May be I should go to the super market and have a walk. err... got to spend money again.
Photos here.
Raymond : Will do. Planning for tmr trip~ and thinking where to go~ Thanks~
may goo je : I will play hard! and will try to work hard! haha~~ I didn't know you want so many Kit-kat, if I know I would buy more +_+ anyway, Thanks for your red pocket~ :)
c : I apply sun screen everyday when I work under the sun, so I get darker but didn't get burnt~ No worries mate~ cc
mudfew : Please explain what's "kai"... Hey man, not my business, you should thank your fater and his sister. I just doing 1% of the house cleaning work. I spent some money on sour cola bottles,可樂糖, that's how I encourage myself, haha. I am always so mo liu. XD
Danny : Thanks for coming! My friend! No need to say sorry man! Yes, it's a good exp and I think you should try it too!
Perry : yea you're right! Thanks man!
adam : ha...I believe it's actually by wfred. I miss you too~! Sai Lo!
I have heard a song for a thousand times, it sounds great but I don't really sure what they are singing.
10 min ago, I search the song name in Google, and I found the lyric.
It shocked me.
I heard that so many times and now I finally know what it really mean.
I love the song.
A little gift for you : It's my life

10 min ago, I search the song name in Google, and I found the lyric.
It shocked me.
I heard that so many times and now I finally know what it really mean.
I love the song.
